Aliguliyev noted, that Korean experts are directly involved in ITI research, as well as introducing their own expertise and prior experience. Research activities are conducted primarily in the field of science, Web-based technology, information security, and geographic information systems - datamining and textmining. Azerbaijan is also interested in enhancing the experience of leading young scientists in relevant Korean institutions. Today, the question of financing for the training of Azerbaijani scientists throughout the country’s relevant structures is being discussed with the Korean Research Foundation.
The ITI has already received an invitation by the Korean National Research Foundation. The Head of the ITI structural unit Yadigar Imamverdiyev and the director of technical sciences Ramiz Shikhaliev will be sent to Korea in September in connection with this research. Aliguliyev said earlier that it is necessary to study the countries which managed to built their economies and assumed leading world positions through innovative ideas and know-how, with a view to create an economy based on innovation.

Korean experts actively participate in conducting of ICT research in Azerbaijan, ITI Director Rasim Aliguliyev informed press. According to him, leading Korean professors come to Azerbaijan for scientific training under a grant program from the Korean Research Foundation. “The program included ITI in the list of grantees. Visitation to Azerbaijan by Korea’s highly qualified specialists has built a foundation for implementing innovative ideas and scientific achievements of Azerbaijani scientists”.Aliguliyev noted, that Korean experts are directly involved in ITI research, as well as introducing their own expertise and prior experience.
