According to information provided by the Organizing Committee of “e-Education” competition, the main purpose of the contest, which is conducted in the following two directions: "Internet technologies in education" and "E-learning resources in the modern school", is to promote the use of electronic learning resources and internet technologies in the educational process, raise public awareness in this area, reveal new areas of application of the Internet for educational purposes, and encourage teachers to more actively use information technologies in the educational process. Employees of educational institutions, university and postgraduate students, school pupils and parents can take part in the competition. Only those applicants, who have passed registration, can submit their projects to the competition.
It should be noted that a total of 781 projects took part in last year’s “e-Education” competition, which was held in the following nominations: “The best methodology of using ICT in subject-specific teaching”, “The best method for the use of IT in primary education system", "The best model of the educational process established through e-teaching materials” and "The best teachers’ blog”. In all 4,937 teachers, 1,616 students, 4,405 pupils and 570 parents have so far taken part in online discussions that have been held on "www.musabiqe.edu.az" webpage within e-Education competitions.
“e-Education” competition for 2014 starts in Azerbaijan
