Director-General of the World Trade Organization Roberto Azevedo, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union Houlin Zhao, Director General of Consumers International Amanda Long, Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Mukhisa Kituyi and Chairman of Alibaba Group Jack Ma attended the “E-commerce Week”.
The participants of the event held discussions on the topics of “Digital transformation for everyone: Empowering entrepreneurs and small businesses” and “Adaptation to the economic sphere, which is changing under the impact of the digital revolution”.
Also, within the “E-commerce Week”, the “E-commerce for everyone” online platform aimed at expanding the e-commerce and developing digital economy was presented.
Deputy Executive Director of the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Azer Bayramov spoke at the event. He provided the gathering with detailed information about the works that had been carried out in our country to develop innovative entrepreneurship in the sphere of information and communication technologies.
Azer Bayramov stressed that during his meeting with Chairman of the company Alibaba Group Jack Ma and Vice-President of the same company Eric Pelletier, Jack Ma and Eric Pelletier expressed great interest in establishing joint cooperation with our country in the field of information and communication technologies.
