Opening the event, Rector of Baku Engineering University Prof. Havar Mammadov spoke about the newly established university.
Executive Director of the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies Elchin Zeynalov informed the gathering about the purpose of the infocession and the support provided by the Fund to startup projects.
Director of the Technological Park of Baku Engineering University Samir Mammadov spoke about the activity of the Technological Park.
Then, the employees of the Fund informed the gathering about the terms of the grant competition and the selection procedure.
The event continued with discussions and a question-and-answer session.
Note that 4 grant competitions have so far been held by the Fund. A total of 582 innovative and scientific-technical projects were presented to these grant competitions. 91 of these projects were allocated grants.
The acceptance of projects for the current grant competition began on 10 April 2017 and still continues. The deadline for the acceptance of projects is 9 June 2017, 18:00.
Projects can be submitted to the grant competition through the "E-grant" section of the Fund’s official website (www.ictfund.gov.az).
Note that the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies organizes grant competitions with the aim of increasing young people’s interest in the areas of intellectual business, innovative entrepreneurship and ICT, as well as encouraging their active participation in the processes taking place in these areas.
The Fund supports the creation of new business incubators in higher education institutions. It also organizes infosessions on a regular basis to support projects implemented in these business incubators.
