In this connection, the images of the natural disaster photographed by the Azersky satellite of Azercosmos OJSC were presented to Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev's order on providing assistance to the neighboring country in the fight against forest fires.
The high resolution satellite images were promptly handed over to Georgia by the Azerbaijani state, which always readily renders its assistance to the neighboring country.
The size of the area covered with fire and the size of damage caused by fire were accurately calculated with the use of these images. The satellite continues to monitor the fire zone.
Azercosmos presented forest fire images to Georgia
