Speaking at the event, which was organized by Regional Human Rights and Media Center Public Union with the support of the Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the chairman of Regional Human Rights and Media Center Public Union Khalid Kazimov stressed that the goal of the project is to support the implementation of the Open Government Partnership Initiative (OGP) in Azerbaijan and to promote the use of electronic services in the regions of the country.
Then, Ruslan Mursalov, an expert from the Data Processing Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, told the participants about the advantages of electronic services and the E-government portal.
He said that E-government is a system that enables government agencies to provide electronic services to citizens, businessmen and civil servants based on the “single window” principle using modern information technologies.
“At present, 454 electronic services are provided to citizens, companies and state organizations via the E-government portal. There are 4 authentication tools that can be used for registration on the portal. They are e-signature, E-Gov mobile ID, Asan signature and the passcode given to the citizen by the E-government portal. Most government agencies provide their services through the E-government portal. At the same time, 17 different types of certificates can be submitted electronically through the portal,” Ruslan Mursalov said.
The session continued with discussions on the topic of “E-government building”.
