The trainings started in Ganja city. Under the project, the trainings on "Improving E-Government and E-Participation Capabilities for Sustainable Development in Regions" will be also held in Gabala, Lankaran, Barda, Shirvan, Guba and other regions.
The main purpose of the trainings is to explore the ways of business development through the use of innovative technologies and exchange of experiences between local and international experts and to support regional economic and cultural development.
Officials from relevant state agencies who are responsible for regulating the involvement of citizens in the digitalization process and entrepreneurs participate in the trainings conducted by local and foreign experts.
Global development trends in e-government and e-participation concepts, effective use of ICT in transparent public administration, internet security, privacy, internet access, development and other issues will be discussed at the trainings.
The training participants will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of the e-government infrastructure and e-participation, e-government portal (e-gov.az), services the portal provides to citizens, rules for using the portal, electronic signature and electronic document.
The training participants will also discuss issues related to the implementation of international experience in strengthening civil servants’ ICT potential in regions and providing opportunities for citizens to access public services.
Within the framework of the trainings, a presentation of the educational collection "Electronic Azerbaijan" will be held.
Note that the collection contains information on the e-government infrastructure and its main components, E-government portal, service groups available on the portal, electronic signature and the spheres of its application.
Upon successful completion of the trainings, the participants will receive certificates from the Azerbaijan Representation of the United Nations Development Program.

Trainings on "Improving E-Government and E-Participation Capabilities for Sustainable Development in Regions" were launched in Azerbaijan as part of the project "Modernization of Sustainability and Efficiency of ICT Infrastructure and Services in the Republic of Azerbaijan" jointly implemented by the Azerbaijan Representation of the United Nations Development Program, the Regional Development Public Association of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.The trainings started in Ganja city.
