Promoting the use of e-government solutions among young people is considered to be one of the main works done in this direction.
The "Electronic Government for Youth" conference was held on December 26 with the aim of summarizing the youth-related projects that were implemented in 2017 in the field of ICT and e-government, announcing the winners of the "Electronic Government for Youth" contest and holding discussions with youth organizations.
The conference was organized jointly by the Data Processing Centre, the E-Government Education and Training Center and the National Assembly of Youth Organizations with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the conference, presentations on enlightenment projects supported by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and ICT projects funded by the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan were made.
Within the conference, the winners of the "Electronic Government for Youth" contest were awarded.
Thus, the Young Entrepreneurs Network Public Union became the winner in the nomination "The best organization in promoting the Electronic Government" and the Regional Human Rights and Media Center Public Union took the first place in the nomination "The best organization in promoting the use of electronic government solutions among young people in the regions".
As to the individual participants, the author of the interactive manual on promotion of the Electronic Government Ofelia Mazanova became the winner in the nomination "The best physical person in promoting the Electronic Government" and the author of the proposal project on "Integration of the business environment into the Electronic Government Portal" Orhan Kerimov took the first place in the nomination "The best proposal for digitalizing government services and developing the Electronic Government Portal (www.e-gov.az) ".
Note that the contest ended on December 20.
Towards the end of the conference, discussions on e-government-related topics were held with representatives of youth organizations and recommendations on increasing organizations’ contribution to the development of the information society were prepared.
