As part of this work, meetings with representatives of international ICT companies are held and experiences in the related areas are exchanged.
As one of the steps taken in this direction, a delegation from the Data Processing Center (DPC) visited Spain to get acquainted with the experience of advanced ICT companies.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation held meetings with several Spanish organizations specializing in e-government solutions and familiarized itself with the e-government reforms implemented in the country.
During business discussions held with Ceym Sanches Revenqa, President of National Coinage and Stamp Factory – Royal Mint (FNMT-RCM) operating under the Spanish Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, he stressed that Spain was always ready for the mutual recognition of electronic signature with Azerbaijan, as well as for sharing experiences and resources for improving e-services.
During discussions held with Philip Amores Malero, Director of Information Systems and Economic - Financial Department of FNMT-RCM, Director of DPC Elnar Asadov and Head of the National Certification Services Center Arif Mailov informed him about the work done in Azerbaijan in the sphere of e-government building and the development directions.
It was noted that in the near future, Azerbaijan and Spain will carry out joint activities to comply with the European Union’s eIDAS legislation and that a memorandum for the mutual recognition of electronic signatures between Azerbaijan and Spain will be signed.
Note that FNMT-RCM issues electronic signature certificates to government agencies, legal entities and physical persons, including citizens, in Spain. These certificates are used for the authentication of Spanish citizens’ e-identity cards and the integration of electronic signature. There are now 6.5 million valid electronic signature certificates issued by FNMT-RCM in the country. The certificates also contain electronic stamps and electronic time indicators. For many years, FNMT-RCM has been taking necessary measures to protect transactions from external interference.
Discussions on mutual recognition of electronic signatures between Spain and Azerbaijan held
