Azerbaijan at the event was represented by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade.
Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Popkov noted that the high level discussion of the issues raised at the plenary meeting will serve to strengthen cooperation between the Eastern Partnership countries and their development.
The meeting discussed issues of harmonization of roaming tariffs, cybersecurity, harmonization of digital markets, as well as the development of broadband Internet, etc.
The event was attended by European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel, as well as ministers and deputy ministers of the Eastern Partnership countries in the relevant field.
Azerbaijan represented at plenary meeting on harmonization of digital markets
A plenary meeting on harmonization of digital markets was held in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. The meeting took place within the framework of the 10th round of informal ministerial dialogue of European Union’s Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries with the participation of ministers in the fields of digital economy and digital technologies.Azerbaijan at the event was represented by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade.
