The Education Department has already tested the functioning of the system at a school in Raipur Rani in Panchkula district and would now introduce it across the State. Even the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is introducing the system of biometric attendance in its primary schools from July to ensure transparency and curb absenteeism.
Haryana to introduce biometric attendance for teachers
The Haryana government has decided to introduce biometric fingerprint scanners in around 2,622 government schools across the State in an effort to keep a check on teachers and deal with increasing absenteeism project, to be completed by August, is being implemented under the centrally sponsored scheme for information and communication technology in schools.
