Minister: Azerbaijani mobile operators to receive frequency to deploy 4G network
Azerbaijani mobile operators in accordance with the Communications and IT Ministry's instructions, are adapting their networks under the fourth generation (4G) standard, Azerbaijani Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov told journalists.
Abbasov said the operators are preparing the necessary infrastructure to introduce 4G, while the ministry, in turn, will make sure that they get necessary frequencies to deploy 4G. Earlier, the ministry issued a license and provided all mobile operators of Azerbaijan with frequencies to provide 3G services.
Companies were also recommended to consider introducing 4G standard. At present, all three operators appealed to the ministry with a proposal to introduce 4G.
