The statement came from Rector of Baku State University Abel Maharramov at an international conference “CIS: innovative partnership” held at the university on 7 December.
According to the rector, Baku State University gives great contribution to develop nanotechnology in Azerbaijan.
“In 2004 within an official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Bucharest, BSU signed agreements on nonotechnology with Romanian universities, as well as scientific and research centers. In 2005, a center of nano research was opened at the university”, Maharramov said adding that nanotechnology is being applied in oil production by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic.
Note that the conference is supported by the CIS International Innovation Center for Nanotechnology, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research and Baku State University with assistance of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation. Operator of the event is Insiders Communication Group.
The conference aims to exchange practical experience, create opportunity for open dialogue with leading innovation companies and scientific centers of CIS, search perspective partners and reach initial cooperation agreements.
