As it is known at present, one of GSM operators (Azercell Telekom) has already appealed to the State Commission for Radio Frequencies to obtain frequency spectrum to deploy 4G services.
Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology was chosen as the basic technology of the fourth-generation technology. 4G network capacity allows more comfortable work in the Internet (watch movies, download "heavy" content, etc.).
4G includes technology allowing to transmit data in cellular networks at a speed exceeding 100 Mbit /s for mobile users and 1 Gbit /s - for stationary users, which is ten times more than in 3G network.
4G services to be launched in Azerbaijan
In order to launch 4G services in Azerbaijan the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies together with mobile operators realizes planning of frequency resources.
