During the meeting A.Abbasov and H.Pashayev shared their views on the Academy’s future activities and specialization directions. The meeting also stressed the importance of providing personnel with training on the international relations, business management, engineering and information technologies spheres.
A.Abbasov noted that since the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev declared communications and information technologies a priority sphere attention has been focused on this sphere. ‘Various ICT related large-scale projects are being implemented in Azerbaijan now. So we need to give proper attention to personnel training’.
At the conclusion of the meeting a decision was made to create a Work Group consisting of experts from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy for establishing information technologies and engineering departments at the Academy. The Work Group will conduct studies in the fields of international experience, domestic demand and perspective development.
Upon completion of these studies a proposal package will be prepared. Then these proposals will be discussed at the international seminar that will be attended by both A.Abbasov and H.Pashayev. Pro-rectors Fariz Ismayilzade, Randl Beyker, galib Mammad and American advices Daniel Nagi also took part in the meeting.
Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy to train information technology specialists
