According to him, over 300,000 subscribers have been provided with the new meters so far. By the end of the current year, this figure will constitute 560,000 units. Work is now underway by the company to reconstruct old gas lines and provide gas to newly built residential areas and villages around Baku.
All subscribers to be provided with smart-card meters
By the end of this year, the ‘Azerigaz’ Production Unit of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan will complete the process of providing subscribers with meters, which work is based on the advance payment system (smart-card meters). This information was provided to ICTnews by the Director of Azerigaz Akbar Hachiyev.According to him, over 300,000 subscribers have been provided with the new meters so far.
