According to the academy, the activity was opened by the Director of the Scientific Innovations Centre professor Farman Gasimov, who spoke about the main objective of the forum, which was organized with the aim of exchanging opinions on the formation of the efficient national innovation system. In the course of the forum the corresponding member of the Ukraine National Scientific Academy, Igor Mansurov made a report titled ‘Scientific-technical innovative state policy and the development of innovative infrastructure in Ukraine’.
The academician from the Belorussia National Science Academy, professor Leonid Gerasimovich also delivered a report titled ‘The new single energy-supply of agricultural areas with use of local and renewable resources’. From the Azerbaijani side the Deputy Director of the Centre, PhD in economics Arzu Huseynova made a report titled ‘The Innovation Infrastructure in Azerbaijan’.
The Head of Department of the AMEA Information Technologies Institute, PhD in economics, Alovsat Aliyev told the forum about the importance of formation of the information economy and ICT-related innovation systems in Azerbaijan, commercialization of scientific products and implementation of the electronic science conception in the Azerbaijan national innovation systems infrastructure.
He drew attention of the forum participants to the projects implemented at the AMEA Information Technologies Institute in this regard. The Head of Department of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, PhD in technics, Rafig Huseynov told the forum about the importance of the projects implemented by the Scientific Innovations Centre. During the event representatives of other organizations also exchanged their views and made proposals on this issue.

A forum titled ‘Formation and development of the innovation infrastructure in Azerbaijan; current state and international experience’ was held at the AMEA Scientific Innovations Centre.
