The decrease was observed only in the capital. Thus the number of POS terminals in Baku has decreased from 34,038 to 33,119. However, this figure in the regions increased from 3,156 to 3,191.
During this period, POS terminals in retail trade made up 34,740. Of this, 32,114 account for the capital.
In May when the contest was held, POS terminals increased by 29% against the preceding month and 2-8-fold since the beginning of the year.
POS terminals decrease in Baku after Eurovision
In June, a decrease was observed in the number of POS terminals which hit the record number on the eve of the Eurovision held in Baku. As of July 1, the number of POS terminals in the country decreased by 884 items compared to the preceding month and made up 36,410, according to the Central Bank.The decrease was observed only in the capital. Thus the number of POS terminals in Baku has decreased from 34,038 to 33,119. However, this figure in the regions increased from 3,156 to 3,191.
