According to this information, a large-scale rail-welding project has been implemented in the Baku Underground Railroad to this end. Under the project, the last version of a hand-held unit “Avikon-02” was introduced in the rail-welding plant. “Avikon-01 mp” and “Avikon-11” units, previously used at the Baku Underground Railroad, could not fulfill all requirements.
The new “Avikon-02” unit can check condition of rails and automatically draw up statements by means of a special program. Different parameters can be entered into the program, which includes 12 indicators: calibration method, tuning, degrees, etalons and the others. Upon entering the required parameters into the program by the operator, the unit draws up a statement and shows defects and faults if there is any.
