Representatives of governments of many countries of the world, scientific workers and representatives of companies operating in the field of waste management took part in the work of the conference in order to identify ways of improving the efficiency of the waste management industry. The main objective of the activity was to identify the most effective technological and political solutions to the current waste management crisis experienced by developed countries of the world.
This information was provided to ICTnews by the Press Service of the "Tamiz Shahar" JSC. According to Tamiz Shahar, during the conference 900 representatives from all continents of the world familiarized themselves with achievements made in the sphere of waste management. 245 speakers made statements in order to share their opinions and experiences in this sphere with conference participants.
Scientists from different countries provided the conference with information on results of various research activities conducted in this field, and technical specialists presented to the conference technological novelties which can enhance the efficiency of waste management operations. During the activity an employee of Tamiz Shahar Zakir Ibrahimov gave a statement on the development of the waste management sphere in Azerbaijan. In his statement Z.
Ibrahimov provided detailed information on activities implemented in the waste management in Azerbaijan and relevant projects carried out by Tamiz Shahar. Construction of a modern polygon for the waste management system will be completed soon. Construction of waste neutralizing plant and a 200-ton waste sorting plant is also nearing completion.
Besides that, advanced 4G technologies and a multistage filter system for protection of the environment will be installed at the Solid Domestic Waste Incineration Plant. At the same time, concrete measures are currently being implemented in the country in order to create an eco-industry park and promote the development of green business in Azerbaijan. In future, Azerbaijan’s experience in the waste management sphere can be successfully applied in developing countries of the world.
