The soap-proof smartphone called Digno Rafre has a 5-inch 720p display, with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage with microSD support for up to 128 GB of storage. The device runs Android 5.1, features a 13-megapixel rear camera, and has a 3,000 mAh battery.
The durable smartphone is "hand soap washable waterproof" and dustproof, allowing the user to literally hand wash the device and have it still work.
Because the touchscreen on the device is built to work even when the user's fingers are wet, consumers will still be able to browse their social media profiles or text while in the kitchen cooking or doing dishes, or even when in the bath. The soap-proof smartphone is also equipped with a 1seg (for digital mobile TV) TV tuner so that users can prop the device to watch a movie while relaxing in the tub.
The Digno Rafre also has a "scratch-healing" finish to avoid damage from accidental bumps and drops, and its body is said to "recover naturally," just like the back of recent LG smartphones. The display is equipped with Asahi Glass' Dragontrail X flexible glass to prevent the screen from cracking if dropped.
