The Swiss company Fly Ability together with Zermatt city’s rescue service has already successfully tested a flying device called “Gimball” in the Alps. Gimball has two propellers on the same axis and is protected by a free-suspension spherical body. Such a body effectively protects the drone from collisions. At the same time, it prevents Gimball from changing its flight path after colliding with an object. The flying robot also has lights and a camera that transmits video to the operator in real time.
“During the alpine test, Gimball descended into a glacier and allowed rescuers to safely examine its crevice, ”igate.com.ua reported.
