The "HealthBox" mobile application is designed to improve patients' access to medical services. By using the mobile application, a patient can send information about the state of his health directly to medical institutions and pharmacies. A public voting that will be held from April 1 till May 1 will decide whether the Azerbaijani project is admitted to the finals. Any person will be able to take part at the public voting by voting once a day. 30 projects out of 102 projects, which have reached the semifinal, will be selected for the final round of the competition. The finalists will be able to present their works at the Global Summit on Science and Technology.
It should also be noted that every year US President Barack Obama personally opens up the summit. This year, the finalists will have the opportunity to meet with the US president, attract investments for development projects, establish useful contacts in the field of global science and technology, and communicate with investors.
Along with the Azerbaijani project, projects from Georgia and Armenia have also entered the semifinal. Everyone can take part in the voting and support the Azerbaijani project through the following link - www.gistnetwork.org/tech-i/vote. Those who will take part in the voting will also be able to nominate their country for hosting a regional GIST training camp in 2017.
Note that the Global Summit on Science and Technology - GISTI 2016 is an annual competition held with the support of the US State Department and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). This year the Global Summit will be held on June 20-24 in Silicon Valley (California).

An Azerbaijani project has entered the semifinal of the 2016 GIST (Global Innovation through Science and Technology) Technology Idea (Tech-I) Competition. A total of 1075 applications were submitted to 2016 GIST from 135 countries for participating in the competition.
