IDEA Public Union conducted another "Green Mountain" campaign in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations (ASAN service). The campaign was held within the framework of the paper waste collection project "Let’s exchange paper for a leaf".
The campaign, which was initiated by IDEA Public Union headed by Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, aims to increase environmental awareness, reduce paper wastage, save trees through encouraging recycling, ensure protection of nature and maintain ecological balance.
Representatives of government bodies, non-governmental organizations and private sector as well as citizens of Baku took part in the "Green Mountain" campaign that was held at "ASAN service" centre No.5 (Heydar Aliyev Avenue 115, Nizami district).
Representatives of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies also made a contribution to ensuring environmental protection and maintaining ecological balance.
The waste paper that was collected by communication workers was added to the symbolic "Green Mountain" erected in the centre of ASAN service.
Note that "Green Mountain" social awareness campaign, which has been held so far in the cities of Sumgait, Sabirabad and Barda, will continue in Azerbaijan.
