The ZEEQ Smart Pillow knows how well you sleep, and doesn't let you snore (VİDEO)

Fitness bands are the talk of the wearable town, but sleep trackers often go unnoticed. While there might be some decent sleep trackers out there, their usage is mainly limited to mere 'recording' of data, rather than fruitful outcomes and improvements. Addressing this very issue is the ZEEQ Smart Pillow, whose main USP is its active participation in rectifying sleep disorders.

 
Currently an ongoing Kickstarter campaign, the ZEEQ Pillow by rem-fit has multiple features incorporated, besides being a resting place for your head of course. Bluetooth speakers are built into the pillow, which can actually play soothing music to help people doze off. The music can also be controlled via a timer, so the lullaby can automatically power down after some time.

 
The pillow also comes with its dedicated app, which allows people to check on sleep data, set alarms, customise the music tracks and enter diet habits and other parameters. The pillow's 5,000mAh battery juices it up for a week, and can be charged via micro-USB.
 





But at its core, the ZEEQ is a sleep tracker, and that's where it really excels. Motion sensors and a microphone embedded within the pillow detect the sleeping patterns of the user, including how often the sleeper tosses and turns, the details of deep sleep achieved the best point in the sleep cycle to wake the user up in the morning and recording the snoring patterns of the user. In fact, the pillow gently vibrates and 'nudges' the user to change his/her sleeping position if the snoring gets too loud.

 
The retail price of the ZEEQ pillow is $299, but the early bird editions cost $129. The campaign is a relatively fresh one, having raised a little more than $18,000 out of its $50,000 goal amount and will ship out to backers in December. While it might be slightly pricey for a pillow, the ZEEQ might just be cheaper than an appointment at a sleep clinic.
