The feature is currently available on iOS and will arrive to Android devices soon. It can be used with all Facebook videos. To watch a video on the TV, users have to find the video they want and press the TV symbol in the top right corner.
According to Facebook, users can go back and scroll through News Feed on the device they are streaming from, so they can catch up on other stories while the video keeps playing on the TV. If users are streaming a Facebook Live video, they can also see real-time reactions and comments on the screen.
“We’re excited to roll out the ability to stream videos from Facebook to your TV — through devices like Apple TV or Google Chromecast — so you have the option to enjoy your favorite videos on a bigger screen”, said in a statement Facebook’s Product Director, Brent Ayrey.
