The US communications service provider Sprint recently introduced a device called the Sprint Magic Box. It is said to be the first fully wireless base station of a mini-cell. It supports LTE and allows commercial and private users to significantly improve the coverage and data transfer rate when connecting to the Sprint LTE Plus network available in the US.
The Sprint Magic Box base station is designed for indoor installation. The device with the size of the shoe box is configured on its own, saving users from the attendant costs of installation and configuration. It is enough to place the Sprint Magic Box near the window and plug it into an outlet. The station itself will establish a connection to the nearest base station of Sprint LTE Plus and will start working. According to the source, Sprint Magic Box provides connection on an area of 2800 m².
