This new limited edition mobile phone is based on the original Vertu SIGNATURE and has been designed by Boucheron, a French royal jewelry brand. The USP of the phone is that it features 439 rubies which have been put together to form a cobra shape and as for cobra's eyes, two emeralds have been used. For the whole design, gems have been cut precisely and the mosaic process has been used. That's not, the whole phone is made up of 388 different parts which were hand-assembled in the UK.
As it is a limited edition offering, there will only be eight units available worldwide out of which only one will be sold in the Chinese market. In China, it will be made available exclusively via Jingdon Mall, a Chinese eCommerce portal for users to shop online. If you are interested, you will have to book it by making a down payment of 1000 Yuan which is about $145. After this, you have to pay the full amount which is 2.47 million Yuan or about $360,000 which will ensure that you are the buyer. Once the order has been placed, you will also have the option to get it delivered to you via a helicopter.
The details regarding specifications of the phone are unknown but since it is a feature phone, they will not actually make any significant difference.
