Oukitel launches an upgraded version of K10000 with a massive 10,000 mAh battery

This is a smartphone that has been fitted with a massive 10, 000mAh battery and the Chinese maker claims the phone can last a whole of 15 days on a single full charge. One must hasten to add that this is not the first time that this phone is in the market. This Oukitel K10000 Pro is a successor to the K10000 launched by the same company in 2015 with the same 10, 000mAh battery. Only, now, the successor phone has been upgraded in certain departments and made to match the current trends.

The Oukitel K10000 Pro is a 5.5-inch full HD display phone measuring 161.7mmx77.8mmx14mm and weighs a heavy 288 grams. The last two figures, the thickness and the weight are dead giveaways of the battery size; doesn’t leave any room for doubts. The display itself is IPS LCD and offers a density of 401ppi. Any top phone would take such a pixel density. The display resolution of 1080x1920p on a capacitive touchscreen is also good enough.

The phone is being released with an octa-core processor the MediaTek MT6750T and the chipset offers a clocking speed of 1.5GHz, which is not very bad, though may not be in the top league. A 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal space make the phone quite a decent offering by any standards. The storage can be expanded through a microSD card to 64GB. And to add to this the operating system would be the Android 7.0 Nougat. This phone can accommodate 2 SIMs and the 3.5mm audio jack is also provided.

The imaging department is serviced by a 13MP camera in the rear and a 5MP sensor in the front. There is also a fingerprint sensor in the rear.

Coming back to the battery, the company says the charger provided is 12V/2A and it will take three full hours to charge the 10,000 mAh non-replaceable battery on the Oukitel K10000 Pro smartphone.

On the connectivity front, though the phone has the provision for 2G, 3G and 4G connectivity, the 4G band that is being provided by the Indian service providers may not be compatible with this phone. That could be a dampener for those in India who would have desired to own this phone with the largest battery.

While most of the details above have come out of an email announcement to the media directly by the company, there is still no confirmation on the exact date of release of the phone in the market or the price it would be offered to the buyers at.
