During the workshop, organized for the member organizations of the National Assembly of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the participants received detailed information on the e-government portal and state electronic services.
Speaking at the workshop, the acting director of the E-Government Training and Education Center Rauf Jabbarov stressed the importance of informing citizens about the work done on building e-government. He said that the development of processes in the society directly depends on the use of electronic services.
Then, the practical application of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population’s e-services – “Registration of labor contract notifications and providing information to employer about it”, “Certificate of employment”, “Providing information to the insured” – the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies’ e-services – “Online payment of communication and utility fees”, “Registration of mobile devices”, “POÇTAP - search for lost documents” – was demonstrated to the participants and electronic certificates were tested.
During the next session of the workshop, the participants were provided with information on e-document and e-signature, including the types and application areas of electronic signature. Also, the participants were shown how to use e-signature in practice.
It was noted that citizens prefer to use e-signatures in form of USB-Tokens because of the convenience of their use and transportation. “The demand for signature certificates in cardholders is growing because citizens can use such cardholders for reading other smart cards.”
The workshop continued with discussions, during which proposals on development of the electronic environment were made.
At the end of the workshop, the participants were given a username and password to use the E-government portal.
