Microsoft says that a total of 50 games have already been added to the Xbox One X Enhanced title list, which means they’re fully optimized for the new console, with 20 more to be added in the coming days. Some of the games available on launch day on the Xbox One X include Forza 7, FIFA 18, Assassin’s Creed Origins and Super Lucky’s Tale.
The big star of the show is obviously 4K support, which means you’re going to need a 4K TV to make the most of the new console, but there’s more to enjoy for Xbox One X buyers. The mix of High Dynamic Range and Wide Color Gamut allows it to deliver stunning content on high-definition screens, and Microsoft says that premium audio with Dolby Atmos support can truly “put gamers in the center of spatial sound.”
The new console also supports 4K streaming, and comes with a built-in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player that turns you living room into a home theater.
The pre-order program has been quite successful, Microsoft reveals in a press release, though no specifics were provided other that “record pre-order sales indicate high demand this holiday season.”
“We built Xbox One X to give game creators the most powerful platform to bring their visions to life and to give gamers the best console to play the games of the past, present and future,” said Phil Spencer, head of gaming, Microsoft, in a typical press releasey statement.
“We’re excited to offer gamers the world’s most powerful console with access to the largest games lineup in Xbox history — more than 1,300 titles and more than 220 exclusives.”
