The Generation 10.5 TFT-LCD production line in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, has a designed monthly capacity of 120,000 sheets of glass substrates, said BOE chairperson Wang Dongsheng.
The automated and smart equipment and core techniques adopted for this production line represent the highest level of its kind in the industry, according to the company.
With a total investment of 40 billion yuan (6 billion U.S. dollars), construction of the production line started in 2015.
In the first three quarters of this year, BOE ranks first worldwide in the global market share of TFT-LCD panels for mobile phones, tablets and notebooks, and second for panels for monitors and televisions, according to the company.
