On the occasion of this significant day, an excursion to Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Azercell Telecom LLC – the country's leading mobile operator that plays a special role in the training of professional ICT staff – was organized for female students of the senior forms of Secondary School № 55.
The excursion was initiated by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies to promote the role of women in ICT.
During the excursion, the employees of the Azercell’s Human Resources Department held presentations for the students.
The participants of the excursion were informed about successes that had been achieved by women employed in the country's ICT sector, projects realized with the aim of supporting these women, Student Scholarship Program, Internship Program and the Summer/Winter School.
The employees of Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center also informed the students about the Center’s activity and acquainted them with successful startups.
Towards the end of the event, a seminar on the topic “Idea generation” was held.
Note that Azercell LLC - the country’s leader in the field of advanced technologies - implements various projects to attract women to the ICT sphere and to develop them in this direction.
Under these projects, various programs, meetings and workshops, including seminars on IT basics and programs such as Linux, Cisco and Oracle were organized for women employed in the ICT sector.
During its 9-year activity, Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center supported more than 70 startup projects, 45 of which created successful businesses.
