The purpose of the meeting was to discuss prospects for future cooperation between the two countries in the relevant field and to sign an agreement on the implementation of the planned projects.
During the bilateral meeting, Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Dong Yanchun, put forward a proposal to create, jointly with China, a new e-commerce platform in Azerbaijan.
The platform is intended to provide online services to Azerbaijani citizens through the e-commerce portal.
Given the availability of a large number of e-commerce companies and services, it was proposed to create a more convenient and efficient trade market with the use of the jointly created platform.
The sides also discussed the issue of delivery of e-commerce products ordered from the People's Republic of China to Azerbaijan via the local courier company “Silk Way Airlines”.
During the meeting, which was attended by representatives of Hong Kong-based companies engaged in developing and implementing innovative projects and high technologies and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, a bilateral agreement on the implementation of the planned new projects was signed.
Note that in order to carry out interstate e-commerce operations, Azerpost LLC cooperates with Silk Way Airlines and the Chinese company “AeroTrans” in a project which plays the role of the regional transit postal center (HUB) of Azerbaijan.
Towards the end of the meeting, the guests familiarized themselves with the activity of the “Shebeke” service center.
