According to China News Network, the total number of 4G base stations in China is over 3.4 million, and the number of 4G users is currently at 1.11 billion and the number of users is still growing. In the Q2 2018 report, China’s fixed broadband and 4G networks download rate both exceed 20Mbps, a year-on-year increase is over 50%. As for China’s fixed-line broadband, the total number of fixed broadband access users reached 378 million. The country has about 328 million fiber access accounting for 87.5% of the total number of broadband users, and the proportion of fiber users ranked first in the world.
In addition, China Internet Development Report 2018 also published the Internet development rankings of various provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government). According to the Internet Development Index of 2018, the top 10 rankings cities are Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Fujian, and Hubei.
