IOS will account for 14.8% of shipments, or about 210.4 million units (a decline of 2.5% is expected).
IDC predicts that in the period from 2017 to 2022, shipments of smartphones running Android will increase by 1.7% annually, and in 2022, 1.36 billion Android smartphones will be shipped. At the same time, iPhone sales will reach 217.3 million units in 2022.
Analysts predict that in 2022, the share of Android and iOS in the global smartphone market will be 86.2% and 13.8%, respectively, Dailycomm.ru reports.
Android to increase its share in smartphone market
