A Drone Olympics will be held On March 30 at SABIS SUN International School by Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy (AREA) in partnership with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT) and RoboPark.
During the event, 60 young people aged 7-12 who study at state and private secondary education institutions located in Baku and Sumgait cities will compete for the titles of best pilots in 3 categories.
Note that from September 2018, these secondary school students have been participating in the “I am a pilot” drone training program of AREA.
The students will test their strength in three different categories: Drone Race, Drone Football and Drone Challenge.
They will compete for the title of the fastest pilot in the Drone Race category. During their most favorite Drone Football competition, the students will play football with drones in the air. The most intense competition among the students will be in the Drone Challenge category.
The students who win top three places in each category will be awarded certificates and prizes.
