According to this information, a total of 176,724 e-signature certificates were issued by the National Certification Services Center during the period starting from the date of their commissioning until April 1, 2019. 98,044 of them were issued to government agencies, 43,480 – to legal entities and 35,200 – to individuals.
9,832 e-signature certificates were issued during the first quarter of this year. 6,776 of them were issued to government agencies, 1,920 – to legal entities and 1,136 – to individuals.
The number of e-signature certificates issued during last month was 3,474. Thus, in March 2019, 2,792 certificates were issued to government agencies, 436 – to legal entities and 246 – to individuals.
At the same time, the number of transactions made with the use of e-signature has also increased. Thus, to date, a total of 46,145,828 authentication and electronic signature-related operations have been carried out in the country. 35,931,171 of them were carried out by government agencies and 10,214,657 – by legal entities and individuals.
In total, 822,446 authentication and electronic signature-related operations were carried out in the country during the first quarter of 2019. 598,250 of them were carried out by government agencies and 224,196 – by legal entities and individuals.
Note that electronic signature is one of the means of identifying a user in the virtual environment. According to the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, electronic documents signed with an electronic signature are as legally valid as paper-based documents certified by handwritten signature and seal.
