InnoFest Village organized in Heydar Aliyev Center’s park
InnoFest Village was organized in the park of Heydar Aliyev Center on June 1 as part of the Innovation Festival.
Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade, Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov, Director of Heydar Aliyev Center Anar Alakbarov visited the Robopark Pavilion, where the Innovation Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies presented innovative products and services and successful developments of startuppers, VR games, drones, robots, entertainment zone.
With a view to contributing to the development of innovative IT engineers and increasing interest in this area from an early age, Mars Academy presented information on educational programs STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) in the pavilion consisting of several zones. The aim of the program is to assist young people who have reached the stage of choosing profession, test themselves in various specialties and make the right choice.
Besides, interactive games, information about the company’s services and internet security are presented in the entertainment zone of Azercell.
Stands ICT LAB Applying and Training Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, SUMAKS ACADEMY together with school # 23, Azerbaijan Robotics and Engineering Academy (AREA), Engineering kids, Hedef (Target) Lyceum and Stu Age were met with special interest.
Moreover, winners of the children drawing competition "Future", dedicated to June 1 – the International Children’s Day held by Azemarka LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, were also announced at the InnoFest Village.
12-year-old Aljamal Pashayev who won the first place received a cash prize of 300 AZN, the second place winners, 12-year-old Ali Ashymly and 10-year-old Ziya Abdurrahimli received 200 AZN, and the third place winner, 10-year-old Aylin Aliyeva received 100 AZN.
Congratulating the winners, Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade said that postage stamps will be prepared from the drawings of the winners and be put into circulation.
E-sports tournament Baku Open Cyber Cup was also organized as part of the InnoFest Village.
Competitions were held in two kinds of PES 2019 games on the PlayStation platform at the tournament, held by Azerbaijan E-Sports Federation with the support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and in partnership with Heydar Aliyev Center. 64 participants over 15 years of age competed in each kind of games. The winners of the tournament, held under the Olympic system, received cash prizes.
InnoFest Village will continue its work tomorrow.
