Smartphone cameras are improving every day. After a long recession in the industry, we first began to see 12-megapixel sensors on top-class models. Now 48, 64 or even 108 megapixel cameras are used.
Apparently, the producers will not be satisfied with this. According to the latest leaked information, Samsung plans to use the 14-nanometer fabrication process to produce 144-megapixel optical image sensors.
Not many details on the subject yet. However, the Galaxy S11, which is expected to be introduced next February, will feature a 108-megapixel sensor. With this in mind, we can say that the 144-megapixel sensor is extremely unlikely to see the second half of 2020 and even before 2021.
