A number of innovative events will also be held this year within the framework of the project, which is implemented jointly by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the Regional Development Public Association of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, the United Nations Development Programme, Azercell and Microsoft companies.
In order to provide support to the expansion of startup movement and the implementation of innovative ideas of young people, large-scale startup tours covering Baku city and selected regions of the country will be held.
On February 17, trainings will be conducted for startuppers in the areas where the tours will be held.
This time, the startup tours will begin in Guba city. The organizers will also visit Aghdam for the first time this year to evaluate the innovative ideas of young people living at the frontline. In total, startup tours will be organized in 13 cities and regions of Azerbaijan throughout the year.
Within startup tours, information sessions, competitions and trainings covering various topics will be held. The winning startups will gain the right to participate in the National Final.
In the National Final, the organizers and partners will determine top three winners and award them. They will also be provided financial support to turn their ideas into business.
