Pentesting workshop held for cybersecurity professionals

As part of the 2nd International Cybersecurity Week, a pentesting workshop was held for cybersecurity professionals working in the public and banking sectors on March 3.
 
Co-founder of Information Security Solutions Azamat Zilokov spoke at the workshop, which was jointly organized by the ICT Applying and Training Center (ICT LAB) of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and IS3S. He emphasized the importance of information security issues. According to him, joint efforts are needed to solve problems existing in this area.
 
A representative of Information Security Solutions, well-known Russian specialist and researcher on cybersecurity Yury Gurkin spoke about the pentest – tests on information security, types of attacks, their methodology, types of threats, pros and cons of traditional cybersecurity solutions used. The specialist also gave recommendations on the prevention of threats, as well as architectural solutions for the banking system.
 
The speaker also informed in detail the participants about the rules for preparing a pentest document, pros and cons of using certified solutions, web threats, manuals, automatic tests and other important topics.
 
Then Yuri Gurkin answered numerous questions of the participants.
 
It should be recalled that the aim of the Cybersecurity Week, organized for the second year by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, is to enhance the effectiveness of coordinated activities and increase the level of education in the relevant field.
