It is this factor that encourages young girls to take a direct interest in innovations, to pursue a career in technology and to build their careers in this field.
Every year, special events are held in most countries in connection with the Girls in ICT Day. Since 2011, about 400,000 girls and young women have participated in more than 11,000 events of various formats in over 170 countries.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has spread around the world, this time no traditional events were organized with the participation of women studying, working and contributing to the ICT sector.
However, despite the existing restrictions in real life due to social isolation, women in ICT celebrate this day in a virtual format using internet resources and demonstrate their solidarity.
