Online workshop on establishing digital skills partnership held

The next workshop on “E-skills” of the EU4Digital project, implemented with the support of the European Commission, took place.
 
At the video event, Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation headed by Rauf Jabarov, Director of ICT Applying and Training Center (ICT LAB) of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, which coordinates the “E-skills” direction. Among the participants were representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, as well as Azercell and Microsoft Azerbaijan.
 
The main purpose of the online workshop was to discuss the development of joint cooperation of stakeholders and organizations on digital skills in the Eastern Partnership countries and the forms of organization of this cooperation based on the experience of the European Union. During the workshop, information was also provided on the experiences of Latvia, Ireland and Lithuania.
 
According to the objectives of EU4Digital project, it is planned to establish a digital skills partnership in our country at the initiative of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. The next workshop for senior officials of government agencies and private companies that will join the initiative was scheduled for August.
 
It should be noted that the EU4Digital project was created on the basis of the Harmonization of Digital Markets (HDM) initiative within the European Commission’s Eastern Partnership (EaP) program. The main goal of the project is the development of the digital economy of the Eastern Partnership countries and integration into the European digital economy. “E-skills” is one of the six areas of the project.
