Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade said that serious consideration is given to diversifying the economy and strengthening the non-oil sector to ensure sustainable development of the country. The Deputy Minister noted that the ICT sector is one of the priority areas in this regard, and ensuring of cyber security is of particular importance for sustainable development. At the same time, he stressed the need for the formation and development of the cyber security industry to increase the level of cyber security at the national level.
The two-session event was attended by experts from the Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Prosol, PaloAltoNetworks, Kaspersky, Trend Micro, Buglance, PENTESTON, MARSH, Zaman Broker and other local and international companies specializing in cyber security.
Reports were presented on the topics such as “Global trends in the development of cyber industry”, “International cooperation in ensuring cyber security”, “Cyber insurance: assessment of cyber risks and cyber responsibility”, “Cyber startups”, “Formation of human resources in the field of cyber security”, etc.
The event “CyberTECH 2020 – Formation and Development of the Cyber Security Industry”, which was attended virtually by a wide audience, was broadcast live on relevant social media accounts.
Moreover, virtual Q&A sessions and discussions were held at CyberTECH 2020 to share experiences.
