The award was presented to companies that made significant contribution to the development of the economy of Azerbaijan and the Caspian-Black Sea region during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as those who played a role in the development of business-to-government dialogue.
Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade was awarded by Caspian Energy Club. Caspian Energy Club CEO Telman Aliyev said that according to the results of the survey conducted among 1,500 club members, Elmir Velizade was awarded the Caspian Business Award 2020 for his special contribution to the development of business-to-government dialogue.
In turn, Elmir Velizade expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of Caspian Energy Club for the award. He said that although the coronavirus has caused certain difficulties in the work of business forums, Caspian Energy Club continued cooperation between state and business. The Deputy Minister noted that the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies supports the private sector as a government body. Elmir Velizade noted that the liberation of Karabakh created new realities in our country and opened up new opportunities for companies.

The awards ceremony of the 5th International Caspian Business Award 2020 took place. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the event was organized online.
