Telegram has introduced a tool with which you can easily delete messages yourself in any chat.
The intelligence service said in a statement that the auto-destroy feature has been available in secret chats since 2013 but now applies to all conversations.

In this way, platform users can now activate a self-delete timer that automatically deletes messages for all chat participants 24 hours or 7 days after they have been sent. Only messages sent after the timer was activated will be destroyed, while previous messages will remain intact. The countdown starts when messages are sent, as opposed to secret chats where it is activated while reading.
The function can only be activated by administrators in groups and channels.
