It has become a trend in the mobile industry for manufacturers to announce a special edition of a phone. These special edition phones are sometimes inspired by pop culture (movies, anime, or comic book characters) or partnerships with other brands. Redmi has decided to take things to another level with the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition Bruce Lee Special Edition!
Yes, we know that is a mouthful but this one is a stunner. The Bruce Lee Special Edition of the gaming smartphone was actually teased a few days ago when Redmi sent out invites for the launch event. The invite included a nunchaku a.k.a. nunchucks which are the late martial artist’s favorite fighting weapon.
Coming to the phone itself, the Redmi Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition Bruce Lee Special Edition drops the dull colors of the standard version for a bright yellow + black dual-color finish. Bruce Lee fans will recognize these colors are not random but favorites of the actor.
There is a long strip of black in the middle with the inscription “Bruce Lee King of Kung Fu”. The frame is also black and so are the shoulder buttons. You get a yellow power button and the accent inside the switches for the shoulder buttons is yellow.
The Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition Bruce Lee Special Edition not only comes in a special box but also has customized accessories. There is a yellow bumper case, a yellow power brick, and a yellow charging cable included.
The Bruce Lee Special Edition is priced at ¥2799 (~$432) and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will be available for purchase on April 30.
