The Chinese company Xiaomi has officially unveiled a mid-range smartphone Redmi Note 8 2021, using the MediaTek hardware platform and the Android 11 operating system with the MIUI 12.5 proprietary add-on.
The device is equipped with a Full HD + screen with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels: the panel size is 6,3 inches diagonally. Durable Corning Gorilla Glass 5 provides scratch protection.
The Helio G85 processor is involved: the chip contains eight cores with a frequency of up to 2,0 GHz, an ARM Mali-G52 graphics accelerator and a 4G modem. The volume of LPDDR4x RAM is 4 GB.
The front 13MP camera sits in a small notch at the top of the screen. The main camera received a four-component design: a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 sensor, an 8-megapixel unit with wide-angle optics (118 degrees), a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macromodule.
The equipment includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.2 adapters, an FM tuner, a USB Type-C port, a 3,5 mm headphone jack, a 64/128 GB flash drive, and a fingerprint scanner. Dimensions are 158,3 × 75,3 × 8,35 mm, weight – 190 g. Power is provided by a 4000 battery with support for 18-watt charging.
