Huawei founded a new company that deals with electric vehicles
Huawei has established a new R&D firm, Huawei Digital Energy Technology Co Ltd, which will research and develop new technologies for electric vehicles and related facilities.
Huawei Digital Energy Technology Co Ltd will work on the organization of research and development in the field of new energy technologies, energy recovery systems, electromechanical communication systems, new batteries and so on. This firm is 100% controlled by Huawei Technologies and has a registered capital of approximately half a billion dollars.
The company established this firm to focus on achieving carbon neutrality. For those who don’t know, various big tech companies are working to reduce carbon emissions for environmental reasons, as the world becomes more sensitive to the impact of the carbon footprints of large companies. In addition, the newly formed company is also another step in the company’s plan to expand into the automotive market.
Huawei produces various hardware and software for other car manufacturers and consumers. The company is now working to build capacity related to electric vehicles and is engaged in research and development to bring new technologies to the market.
